    Great Post Joe!
Last night I removed leafs from my springs and here are the results.
I did this to improve the ride in the front as it was very stiff. It was not riding on the bump stop and the shocks are the right size and in good condition. I'm pretty sure one of the PO's had played with the springs so I'm not sure which to say I removed but I will say there are now 4 leafs in the front and 3 in the rear. There were no bumpstops in the rear and I cut the ones in the front in half after I removed two leafs.
I may put one of the leafs I removed from the front in the rear spring pack as the back is pretty soft now and I do use the bed. The reason I'll put one from the front in the rear is they are little flatter and I don't want to raise the back in up much from here.
Oh, and tire size. Joe, what size tires are you running? This picture of mine has 225/70/15's rear and 205/65/15's front.

This dropped axle came from Nostalgia Sid (http://www.droppedaxles.com/CHEVY_AXLES.html).
