Hello! Been looking at H.A.M.B. for sometime now and thought that I might see exactly how this works. My computer skills are somewhat lacking, so just bear with me, ok?
Hi John! Welcome. I've been here for about 10 years, I guess. Used to be quite a bit more active, but the huge number of posts just overwhelms me to be honest. Now I just check in a couple times a week. I'm also a long-time member of the Standard 1320 group - along with your old buddy Bill Holland. I'm sure he's told you about that site. I've got a copy of the Drag Racing Magazine issue with you guy's car on the cover, so have some idea of your background. Have you ever considered becoming a member there? You might find it a bit more dragster oriented, and I'm sure you'd find other friends from the day there. You need a "sponsor", but that would be no trouble for Bill - or of course, I'd be more than willing too. Well, there's tons of stuff to check out here, and I usually go through the regular board - but seldom find much of real interest any more. You may want to check out the "Old Fart's Club" under the "Community" (Social Groups) heading up at the top of the page (in black). There are a few old digger and drag race guys there, and also there's a special sub-group dedicated just to drag racing. You might enjoy that too. In any case, I hope you have fun here.
