Hey guys I have a 1961 caddy that at around 50mph it starts to "cut out". The car doesn't die it just won't go any fast the the rpm's start to drop. If I let off the gas all is fine and if I keep it at or under 50mph it runs great.
I ordered a new fuel filter and plugs from RockAuto.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

    Thanks in advance!!!

So do you think a simple adjustment or replacement?

if it is the points, just file and reset them. or replace. but remember this is just a wild guess based on 40 years of being a mechanic on the older motors. so i could be wrong.......
