I need to purchase a set of rear lowering springs for my 53 Chevy. I would prefer to purchase them from a HAMBer or at least from a company where a HAMBer works. Any tips would be welcomed. Thanks!
Sorry, should have mentioned that I'm looking for rear springs. If I could cut 'em I would. I would be into rearching them except that they are old and incredibly soft. Chris
Might help if you put leaf springs also. I need some for a 51 ford if anyone here can supply them. TP
They're not ***ociated with the HAMB, but I got some for my '53 Chevy from http://www.eatonsprings.com They lower the car 3" from stock and ride surprisingly well. Compared to original with 4" blocks, anyway. Good luck!
There's a spring shop over here in Ballard that can build you new ones Chris. Craig's Auto Springs on Leary Way. If you can't find the number in the book, let me know and I'll grab it for you on my way home.
I got my rear leafs from Jamco. http://www.jamcosuspension.com/ They were always really helpful over the phone.
I work at AB Spring Service in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We make custom leaf springs for just about any thing that has leaf springs. We can ship any where in the U.S.A.. 1-800-875-3390 (tell them that Chad told you to call)
i just looked at their site and i LOVE the look..plus it really seems like they know what they're doing with their descriptive details, and the "stance-selector" is a plus..they also seem to be offering the most drop for the lowest buck..i'll probably be giving them a call before too long..good thing i did a search on this before posting it again! creepy
