I have heard that Hot rod and custom supply of Plainfield Mi is out of business. Has anybody else heard this? Does anyone know who purchased there parts stock? I really want to get 1 of the s/s covers they had for the late style flathead oil filters. I haven't seen them anywhere else.
    Thx
    Matt

I haven't ordered from them in a while, but man I would be sad to see them go. They had a great parts selection.

Are they the folks that offered the Ford banjo-style rear axles with all new guts? Positraction and open input shaft?

  4. They are an Alliance dealer. However their website has not been working for some time. I've bought from them before. Nice people. I hope they are still in business. Todd

Todd moved HRCS to Plainwell, but stopped the online sales. He is happy just to be building and repairing. We stay in touch.I am still in Cape coral, and continue to supply the red fuel line as I have for many years. The parts that I had bought from them are just about depleted.I do have some original Traction Master torque bars for musclecars, flywheels and clutches. Motorplex in Fort Myers bought the rest of the stuff.Silly guy.He waited for them to move up to Plainwell and THEN sent a truck all the way up there to bring back the parts.Bad timing.Motorplex builds mostly musclecar high performance motors, but is slowly getting into nostalgia motors.
Anybody want red fuel line? I still make it in standard or reinforced. You can get this direct from me,or at Mooneyes and Honest Charlie.

I had dealt with Tony DiCosta at Hot Rod and Custom Supplies for several years with great results, and I mean GREAT. I guess nothing lasts forever as we grow older and our priorities change with the general populace. Fads and people change daily. Who knows, maybe some one in a few years will discover the 270 GMC or the 296 Flathead. I happily dealt with Tony and hope his most recent endeavor is successful. Jay Y.
