I'm helping a friend line up cars for a pretty nice photoshoot for next weekend. He's a real pro with some of the best work in the midwest, he'll be shooting portfolio work but also a little something to submit to the mags. This is a pretty big production on his end, the state troopers will bring in a restored '59 Chev police car, there are hired models, the city is blocking off the streets best part is it's a night time shoot with some burn outs and driving. There is a strive to keep it authentic, the cut off date is 65 and the closer to that, the more stock the car should be. as for the hot rod end it's gotta be totaly traditional, no billet or street roddy trailer cars. of yea dinner provided.

    Here's the details:
    Sat. June 18
Lee's Summit Police Dept. will ***ist in blocking off a mile of the old
    291 Hwy.
We will line up cars on the shoulder. We will be re-creating drag racing scenes.

    Leave this area around 10pm.

Arrive at Jim G's in Raytown on Raytown Road by 10:30pm.

More photographs will be taken at Jim G's ***Late night snacks and beverages provided***

    Should wrap by 12am.

Good news guys! were postponed till the 9th of July. That give you at least a few weeks to get your rides together.

Porkn****** can you find the parts by then? The Pusherman would fit right in. Give me a call if need be.

  9. Yea,
I'm ordering a coil and resister tomorrow. Make sure you PM me or call me the week before, but I'll make myself a note anyway.

    Hey Chris,
How about my '54? It's lowered with wide whites.
    I'd be up for that.
    I'll PM you.

Here are a few pix that a friend emailed me. The photo shoot was very cool & to see the "California Kid" and the "Yellow Coupe" driving down the road was very neat.
