Hello guys. Well I am ready to get my tires and wheels for my Model A Sedan ordered. Just gonna run steelies with a trim ring and no hubcap. The coupe I attached a pic of has the look of the tire/wheel combo I wanna run, do these look like 16"(or 15"?)rims to you guys? This coupe has the look I want for mine. These look to be the same width rim front and rear, for my sedan I was thinking 16x4.5" fronts and 16x6" rears, with a 750/16 rear and 550/16 fronts. Sound like a good combo? If anybody has pics and info on their combo I'd love to see them. Since I'm in the goldchainer capitol of the world, I have no cars in my area to look at. Thanks for the help guys

The Flatheads went to a 600 x 16 factory tire in '35(I think) as the cars got heavier. If you use a nailhead or some similar big iron, probably 650's would be better on the 4.5's. But that's just my opinion and I am sure others will disagree. I contacted Universal tire (where I got my rears tires and tubes) for rim width specifications, they could also provide load rating data for you.
The car in the pic has 750-16 Firestone on rears and 600-16 Firestone on front. We have outfitted many cars with 600-16 fronts as well as 550-16 fronts. The tread design on the 600-16 is closer to same as 750-16 running on rear. Corky
Thanks for the reply Corky! I was gonna call you to place an order anyways. I bought my cheater slicks and US Royal fronts from you at Zephyrhills, they look great! I'll call you and place my order. One question I did have-do you offer 16x6 steelies primed with a 5x5 bolt pattern? I saw in you catalog they were only offered in 5x4.5 & 5x4.75. Send me a private message if you could, and I'll place an order for the tires, and wheels if you have them. I'll also need (2)16x4.5 steelied primed for the front. Thanks Corky
Hey thanks for those pics and info, I really appreciate! I have heard the same about the 550's, I'm gonna go with the 600's after all. Plus the car will have a 455 Olds, so its a little heavier then most. Thanks again
