Thought everyone might enjoy these pictures here, my friend works for a gentleman in Virginia and when I came to visit him his boss said that I could see his cars, I am very grateful at being able to view the cars. He buys and restores them; I am sure he will not sell any so please dont ask. I was just happy to see someone persevering such wonderful cars! Hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do! If you want to see more of these pictures please go to my profile and look under cars to see more I dont know all the cars names and some of the pictures are blurry was not using my camera!
Liked some of 'em. Next time you can leave out the Mustangs though, and anything else '65 or newer. Welcome to the hamb.
If you look in the folder on my profile he has a MACK JR truck restored he talked about that for a while and said it was really rare, never the less I was drooling the whole time! not too sure how to add more pic's to this thread.
sorry if you don't like mustangs, they are a little played out for me but I hear a few people like them as far as things that are ‘65 or newer I do like some newer cars myself, I know that is kind of funny coming from a person that posts here but when all of the good cars are all returned to the earth or cost too much for are kids or grandkids to hotrod they will be left with the cutl***es, Monte Carlo’s and dodge rampages. Yes most new cars will never come close to the beauty, cl***, or just plain fun to turn a wrench on. But I hope my kids will enjoy my 1983 caballero as much as I do. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
It's not that I don't like Mustangs or cars newer than '64...they just don't belong on this forum. Rules set forth by Ryan...they guy that runs this place. The hamb is for traditional hot rods and customs, pre '65, and built in the style that you would've seen in the early '60s and before...simple.
if you want to put more pics on click the little ****on that says "Go Advanced" and do all that jazz from there... Kinda a random collection. Nice cars but a little bit o everything...
It was never my intention, too break any rules, in my wondering on here I seen lots of different cars from all over, I will respect what was set by the forum from the start. Sorry, niall.Oxendale
He did have a little bit of everything, I think it all came down to what he came across at the time when he was looking around for cars. He had lots of Edsel’s, cl***ic trucks, and REO’s most things ’65 or lower but a few newer cars as well. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Awesome collection, and thanks for the pictures. Just for the record, I will take that 359 Pete in the background!!! Cheers,
Im liking this very much, as its a look im going for with my 30 truck. Shame thats its a little blurry, but still good enuf for me to pinch it for my files, thanks. I always breath out, just as i hit the ****on, when taking pics. seems to steady things more. Thanks for sharing your pics.
Hahahahahaha! Yeah, I'm the "flaming douchebag". C'mon...Has Ryan specifically said "no mustangs"?...Yes. Did I ream the OP?...No. Did I welcome him to the hamb?...Yes. Did I call him names like you did me, neverdun?...No. niall.oxendale...most of the cars are great, and fit the forum fine...just not the Mustangs. I know you didn't intend to break any rules...no big deal. And I hope you know that I didn't intend to offend you...just sayin'. You didn't sound offended, so I'm thinkin' you and I are good...yes? Although...I'm seriously thinkin' of taking neverdun out behind the barn and pulling his pants down. neverdun: "And?" Me: "That's all." Skipping away with my awesome new pocket-protector in place. "La La La La La La..."
Your reply was not disrespectfull. Some of the responces you got were. Those are now Deleted, and replies to the Drama are too. Hopefully that will take care of it, so we can go back to Trad Hot Rods & Trad Customs.
i am not offended, we are very cool! stupid new guy mistake just happy everyone is enjoying the cars!
pretty much know for sure that they are not, the guy has all the money to care for the cars enough not to need to sell them. he has a guy he pays just to fix them up!
this one is one of my favorites, none of these pic's do his cars justice! I wish i had more if i ever get to see them again i will take better pic's.
That Mack is one sweet sweet truck, look real good in my Garage.[/QUOTE] that one was his favorite too, those are very rare only a few Hundred were made for three years if any come up for sale the price is in the three digit range! oh and the back bumper was spacial made because they were painted on but he had his own die made and had it stamped! that was the nicest one he had i think he had two more in need of a full restore. when i looked the mack jr up online the website said they were made by REO but the price was too much for what trucks were going for at that time.
Thanks, metalshapes. In the future, I'll try to make sure I'm not "misconscrewed"...lol. And thanks too, niall.oxendale...pal. The collection is truly awesome. Thanks for sharing. (I should've added that the first time) I'd be extremely proud to own any of them. The Mack Junior is beautiful! And it must be rare...I think I've only seen one other, ever.
That Mack is special for sure, looks like it has a lot of 'Federal' in it the way the seperated windshield works and how the cowl is seperate from the cab. I just love how proud the headlights are, i have read about these trucks but this is the first time i have seen one, thanks for posting it and if you get back there a few more pics of it would be appreciated. Welcome to the Hamb, oj. there aren't any mustangs in there are there?
Amazing how some people just collect them and tuck them away. A local guy here has a show barn, 12 car garage, and a quonset hut filled to the brim and he is going to have to build a new building, orsell something. It most be nice.
on one hand I love that the cars are cared for, and will be there for the future generations. then i think they need so much more love!! tell me that anyone here would not spend a load of time caring for them, teaching there kids about them, driving and just enjoying them more then just hording them away. i wish more people cared enough to take care of what they have we would not have to cut so much of the cars up to make them work. people are so quick to go and buy a new Toyoda Camry when then can spend just as much or less on caring for a cl***ic. sorry I'll get off my soap box now.
