haha, nope no mullet, I also don't wear hats. I'm a network administrator what do you expect? However I'm not afraid to tear into a motor to rebuild or repair it, i've had to do so a couple times on my car.

That picture you posted "GotGas" is cool, I LOVE the wheels, I planed on using something similar on mine, Just becasue it's going to have a modern powerplant doesn't mean I'm gonna put 24" wheels on it or billet accessories all over it.

I'm a member at LS1tech, and LS1.com both, they really don't get too much into LS1 swaps, it's a good board for Technical info on the engine itself and the vehicles that the engine came in stock. They are both great sites though I frequent them often :)

I may have to take you up on that pink slips race :) Mine is currently a Blown LS1, but as I said before I'm putting a new motor in next month LS6 With Forged Dished pistons and forged H-beam rods, and a couple other goodies.

here's a pic of the wheels I like plus the chopped look I like.

Wow, a ******* contest. When I grow up, I wanna be as cool as you two! In the mean time, I'll go back to pullin hair and scratching eyes out............it's a little more respectable.

Welcome anyways. Do what ya want, but stick with the traditional. Maybe you'll like it more then what you've been accustomed to? I love everything, but I only build and drive traditional........it's where my heart is! Oh and my pocket book!:D

Some of you guys are idiots. haha. The guy obviously knows his way through those new LS1 type motors so why shouldnt he use one? It can still be a nice looking traditional truck on the outside. Ive seen plenty of awesome customs and stuff with a fuel injected motor. I feel dumb for even replying to this thread. Im gonna go out to the garage and work on my car. bye.

Maybe this will help Justin. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8491&&showall=1

Ya no problem. Its the first thing i thought of when i read his post so i just grabbed it outa there. His is a 46 and clarks s-10 frame swap tech is for 47-5? but i imagine it should still work without a whole lot of difference.

This guy might be able to help. He will put a camaro front clip on to a 55-59 stock frame. Says he uses a jig so, should be good work. He may work on your type of frame too:

    Big Steve 559 307-5558

I've also heard that a mopar K member is a bolt on upgrade for your truck.

Hello new person. Here's a picture of my truck.

People ask me.. "When are you going to finish/paint it?". I can't give them an answer. It runs well and better yet stops. So until my automotive a.d.d gives out and I can focus on one project at a time it gets driven as is.

If it were finished to me the fenders and running board would be black, I'd add chrome bumpers and chrome tailight ***emblies, repaint the parts that are orange orange, and put on disc brakes.

If I was adventurous I'd add a tilt/power column and ac.

    To each his own.

Welcome to the site... good luck with the truck. My uncle is doing the same thing to a 46, minus the extended cab.

I sais f--- IT! & Did it anyway. Turned out kool.
OHH, I miss the ol hamb, it separated the p***ionate from the posers, with that bein said---I respect all cars. BUT love traditional rods & kustoms.

My car is a 52 chebby.

as ROBRT. Wiiliams said "...it needs to have soul---Kutoms are for getting girls, & hot rods are for getting away from them!"
