Mitch - I was great to meet you and your family at the show, thank you for the kind words. Great looking full fender deuce!

Here is another piece I just finished tonight:
This is Mike Detwiler's 1932 Ford Highboy Coupe, which was featured in David Uhl's painting "Sly Hill Showdown". I left the painting with the car in it in color in the background:

I still have hundreds of more shots to edit from the show. Please let me know if there are any special requests from those that attended. I'm always looking for a new challenge!

Thanks Mike for the great shots. That bare metal 3 window was my favorite of the show.

This car had a rough weekend. I was told that a piece of steel that may have been a lighting support, or some other support, fell from the upper rafters and hit the car as it sat overnight. You can see a crease in the metal above the windshield on the driver's side. Great looking ride. Hopefully they were able to work out the crease.

Ok, I'm about half way through my shots (I've got to get away from the HDR addiction - takes too long to process my shots!). Here are a batch more from the Thanksgiving show:

    Nice work Mike!
Hey, did you get any shots of the black '36 5-window with the skirts, desoto bumpers, chrome dash etc...?
That's my car but I wasn't able to make the show...
    Thanks,
    Noah

    Noah,

I think I missed getting a shot of your ride at the show. Since I was manning my booth alone during the show I was limited in time for getting out and taking pictures. Most of my shots are from the area right around the Art of the Automobile area and over in the Kustoms Korral area. Were you at any other shows in Colorado this past year? I made it out to a bunch of events along the front range, including most of the bigger ones like Good Guys and the Street Rod Nationals in Pueblo.

Thanks for the pics. There is a 41 Mac being stored out in my father in laws barn (along with all my junk lol). Every time I look at it i wonder what could be done to make it "cool", and you post up this pic ... Cool!

If I remember right he was taking his jacket off (or putting one on) and caught the steering, spun around slid a bit and rolled. He came out more or less un****hed.
The car was pretty severely damaged. About all left of the original is the front half of the frame and the motor/trans. Has a new Zipper body and Zippers prototype "trunk" along with his independent quickchange rear. Darrell had the car for a good 3 or more years rebuilding it and put a ton of detail into it.
