I have been wanting some more wall art for my man cave...since I am a poor man I decided to go ahead and make my own. Let me know what you guys think. And lets see some of your garage wall art.
That's a cool sign! I found a "dead horse" in a pasture once. I told my buddy who was with me, "Hey, Tom...come and look at this poor dead horse behind this Dodge Dart." He came over to look and there was Pegasus all rolled up into a big ball. The owner of the property told me that a guy used a CAT to move it and it got all squashed into a big ball. Then he said I could have it. I took it home and put on my safety gl***es and unrolled it. It fits PERFECTLY in the place near my mandoor....I wish I would have taken a "before" photo.
Painted this lately and it is 7 ft by 3ft on my sliding door inside my garage. The Red Man and Purina sign i painted a while ago.
This isn't exactly wall art, but like you I built something cool for the shop. I started with an old gas pump and made a display cabinet for my model car collection. Here's a before and after shot. Cheers! Mickm
I enjoy creating art of all types. Its great being able to put to life what is in your head.http://www.midnightoilgarage.com
I like the pegasus idea, ive seen a few signs that have been folded or rusted and just looked past them but that really looks neat. Lots of antique shops here in texas and you can still find wall art pretty cheap. The stranger the better, or just shop for ideas is always good.
Some very cool stuff. I've got an old Texaco light I need to wire up to hang on the wall and misc other stuff.
I ain't never been in no man cave, don't wanna be, been in shops and garages and such, don't wanna be in no man cave, what the **** is that anyway?
