Hello there, My name is Greg and I am excited to finally have joined a dedicated group of traditional rodfolken. A little about me-I am 34, married for 8 years and have two kiddos, 7 & 6. I work at an auto custom shop in Austin, Tx. and I call Burnet home(about an hour north/northwest of ATX. I have a passion for vintage iron. I grew up around early 'vettes from the late -50's to mid-60's, vintage 4x4's like IH Scouts, plus some muscle era Mopars tossed in for flavor. I have learned from my old man plus a whole slew of friends, jobs, and screw-ups how to build, mod and drive great old cars. My current project is a 1952 Chevy Deluxe 2 door with the original flat 6/3 on the tree combo. The car is all there and ready for resurrection. It is also my first real vintage Chevy that's not a corvette. My family and I have have some great plans for this car and hope to share the journey, if you'll have us!!!! My wife has dubbed the '52, "Dirty Dragon", hence my user name....I would like to start a build thread, as I have noticed a gap in the build index-no 52 Chevy Deluxe!!!
Welcome from Warshington, Greg. Search for some of the early '50's Chev pic threads, if you are looking for ideas. Good luck with the project!
Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!! I have some serious homework to do and the information on this site will prove invaluable, I am sure. I have already looked over some of build threads and I am impressed, to say the least!!!
Welcome Greg from the West Coast of Florida. I also like the 49 thru 53 Chevrolets with their fat fender look and style. I hope you enjoy the HAMB has much as I do.
