Your intake will work fine, never had a issue with one of those. The BG carbs have issues but if you got it cheap go thru it and try it.

Thats a decent carb, take it apart and scrub it up as it is filthy. Like John said, solder the holes or just replace throttle blades - they're just a controlled vacuum leak and not intended for street use. It is a 'gussied' up holley doublepumper with typical BG 'bs' (he had a lot of that as i remember when he'd sell his carbs out of a station wagon at IHRA meets and he had a 'turn of the tongue' about him back then). All the parts interchange with holley but i would be wary of the idle crossover machining in the metering block. I think you are ok with that particular carb but to be on the safe side place a small piece of metallic tape across the feed for the idle circuit, it is an elongated slot locatecd at about 'five oclock' on the metering block. On the aluminum metering blocks it is a few thou overly long and will get into the vacuum p***age cut into the metering block gasket and allow raw fuel to dribble into the engine via the vacuum port below the throttle blades. I just place a small strip of metallic tape across the idle circuit crossover and that seals it off from the metering block. If you don't have a vacuum port you don't have to worry about it. there is a special gasket available that seals the crossover from the metering block but holley don't offer it and they are kinda hard to come by, what makes that gasket visually different is that it has a round hole for the power valve instead of the 'tombstone' hole that is more common.
