1953 Ford VIN location

I believe the VIN on a '53 Ford sedan should be on a plate on the drive's door pillar. If that's missing, is the number stamped anywhere else on the car?

A plate on the firewall.
A stamped number on the right front frame.

 

what about 1957 ford, where is the vin besides the plate in drivers door pillar?

on 53 to 56 F-100 pick up and panel, stamped on top of the ch***is rails, below firewall on p***enger side. Hope that helps. Ted
