(pounds head against wall) I still have dreams like this. Then I wake up. What's in the Styline box - '61 Ford?
Wow, great stuff this week. Allyn, what do you use for the clear fuel line, your engine detail is excellent. Lyle, great work and thanks for the meet pics each week. The T-bird paint turned out great and all the rest are nice. Here is one that I finished recently ON the bench.
those are a couple of nice looking traditional rods, shades. For clear fuel line, I was looking at red fishing line at Cabella's, but ended up finding some really small clear tubing there. I don't have a clue what it's supposed to be used for, but it was perfect for fuel line.
Holy shit Fatman, just about to close up on Sunday evening and this guy comes in with an old car, telling me he was off to a "traditional hamb" meeting. Whatever that might mean Hope he comes back with some of his mates (OK, buddies) next week. Rod
I just got my 1st ever model kits yesterday and im already deep into the 1t one. Im lovin it, too bad im 33 and lost 33 years of model building... Would a 66 Rivi lowrider be accepted here anyway?
I don't think the "SUNDAY MODEL" thread follows the HAMB cut-off dates. We've had ALL kinds of model cars on this thread. Many are traditional style builds, but there have been many "modern" cars also. As long as we (the model builders) don't mind, we can post any model cars we want. But then,,,,,I'm just an old dude with absolutely no authority.
I think a 66 done in a traditional way, dating back, would be welcome, it's more likely Asian tuners, modern exotics, Chevettes, GT, F1, Rally compacts,4X4s (the newer stuff or monster trucks) ( unless the monster truck were a 'what if it was built back in the day' kind of thing) that sort of thing. Those all have their forums, the HAMB should reflect the HAMB as closely as possible just to prevent derailment, not so much to be purists. A good looking, well done custom, or 'Bomb" would still fit the forum, I think.
Its mostly traditional from a lowrider stand point, w/ metallic paint, veiling and candy....simple black interior and chrome. only problem is the gold wheels...i didnt have any pinner whites fiting the supremes cragars or other mag wheels, so i went w/ the gold wires...im almost done too.
