that thing is going to be awesome ....are you going to paint it back as a pbr truck as a collector of all things pbs thats what I would do good luck with it Adam
yes thats exactly what i wanna do.....but a lil '' ratted out....prob. flat white with all the pbr logos back on it ....lowered......white walls with a pbr blue steel wheel...i dunno but def. keep th pbr theme
You might want to change the ***le of your post. People probably just think you're wanting to know whether PBR is the truly 'Rat-A-Rific' (tm) drink that all the rockersillies think it is. Maybe change it to something like 'Fixing up a PBR delivery truck'. Your plans sound pretty cool.
I always attribute Pabst to Blue Velvet... Frank Booth: What kind of beer you drink, neighbor? Jeffrey Beaumont: Heineken Frank Booth: Heineken? F**k that ****! Pabst Blue Ribbon!
well this rockaBILLY guy likes the way i posted it.... for the simple reason that im a pbr drinker myself have been since i was kid....i have a ton of cl***ic pbr stuff ol lights banners tin signs 7 oz.. cans....beer bottle tabs...etc.. so if this post gets the attention from as you call rockersillies then my job here is complete because thats the type of people that i want to see this so that they can appreciate it as much as i do........ thanks for your concern
i got a big *** sticker that was probably used on delivery trucks cause it wont fit on anything i got.... 46x36 is the size interested hit me with a pm.
Resize those pics, I want to see the whole damn truck. Been watching this thread since you posted it and I can't stand it anymore. POST MORE ****ING PICS! '59 panels are like hens teeth.
If you can wait a week or two, my grandfather used to work for Remke truck in Detroit, I have some pictures of all kinds of beer trucks from the late 50's early 60's... Unfortunately, they are boxed up with most everything else I own, when I find them I'll post them for you. PM me to remind me to look for them.
it has nothing to do with your truck, other than the PBR connection, but this year at the Austin Roundup, there was an old early 50's or so PBR painted shortbus parked a mile or so away from the action, me an 38chevy454 spotted it while looking for an exhaust shop, it was on whatever the next major road to the west from congress, and to the south. dunno what my point is, but it twas cool.
PBR gives me a wretched headache. Anyway, there's an amazing book that I've got about beer trucks, tons of great pictures in it, I can't remember the name but you can find it on Amazon.
Don't cha hate it when the m***es get a hold of something (in this case, the rockabillies) and run it into the ground? My whole life, Pabst was known as my Papa's beer... that's all my grandfather would drink... 2 a night, before bed. He told me it was his "funny orange juice" when I asked him what it was when I was 3 years old. But then again, if the rockabillies hadn't of latched on to it, it would prolly be history now.
ugh! pbr tastes like water. do you have any Rogue or Bells or Magic Hat on tap?? and Belgian brews?? this bar ****s!
Good thing I can't grow a pomp anymore, cause I like Old Style better. hahaha I don't think a sticker/decal is a good idea. It was painted, so it should be painted again. Lets' see the whole truck.
I know what you mean Gracie, my dad only drinks PBR. I didn't know that other beer existed untill I was about 13. But remember when PBR was going bankrupt a few years back, I bet the hipsters is what saved the company. My dad freaked out and stock piled a bunch......I also want to see pics of the full truck.
nice truck. PBR is good stuff for when your on a budget. Thats what I drank when I was outta work. havent had it in a while now though
Hmm. Since PBR is a sponsor at the Pileup, maybe I should retract that previous statement. Doh! I do still drink it. Really I do. PBR and Old Style are ten times better than that piss that Budwiser and Miller sell. Yuck.
Meanest hangover ever was after a night of Pabst. Worse for me than a Tequila hangover! If you're at work turn your speakers down, but click on this no matter what. http://tsbolton.com/booth/beertalk.wav
Don't think it's just the Rockabillies that drink PBR. I 4x4 with a bunch of rednecks and it's their drink of choice from CA to MO. Seems PBR has the lowbrow marketing angle covered pretty good, whether intentional or not. Now where are those damn re-sized pics of the WHOLE truck!?!
We we first got married all I could afford was PBR's cheap brand, Red, White & Blue. I used to get a six pack or two up to the store when my Pop came by the house on his way home from work a lot. It was $.66 a six pack. It came in "gl*** cans" (they were short and stubby). I sure miss Pop but not so much the RW&B.
ok ok here they are......i figured out how to downsize these things ...finally ,i feel like a retard hahahaha
You think that's gross, I drink it half iced tea with half PBR! Now that's gross! But then again so where half the guys I dated.....so I guess it evens out! **x Brandy
thats what im talkin bout....that is the ideea i wanted to see...thx...but then with some lettering on the door ....
