hey every one I was given some advice to post this here and not just in the classifieds. I am searching for a car my father owned. It is a 1953 studebaker champion that was chopped and shortened among other things it was popular around the north shore of massachusettes in th 1970's it was built by john silva around 1969 my father had it in 1970 71 it changed a few hands and ended up going to some where in boston. any info any one might have on the where abouts of any part of this car would be greatly appreciated. I have been in love with this car since I was a kid . Thanks to all who look at this Adam
Try printing up some pix and taking them over to Billy Belmont's Rod & Custom Shop (326 Bussey St in Dedham, MA). If he doesn't know where it is, or what happened to it, ask if you can post the pix on the bulletin board with a note "Information Wanted on this car". One of the guys who comes into the shop will know.
thanks jim I will do that I"m not to familiar with the dedham area I'm from danvers but I'l map quest it thanks Adam
jim it's 138 bussey st. thats what I found in the yellow pages thanks fot the the ifo I'm going there to day the last guy I found that owned it (early 80's) said he sold it to some guy in boston so I hope the dedham connection works out last I knew it was red with a corvette rear. and those silly aluminum corvet slot mags from the late 70's early 80's adam bttt

I'll bump this back up for ya. Belmont's is a trip, ain't it? I love that place. I would always go in there to pick up the latest issue of Mag-Neto. My dad has known him for years, and my first time there, he took me on a tour of his garage. Holy Smoke. Just filled with great cars including the famous custom, The Jade Idol. Always a great time at Billy Belmont's. Good luck finding that car. I wish you luck.
thanks general gow yeh saw glass guy tonight he told me that billy has the jade idol I didn't even know. thanks for the well wishing Adam
one of the people had said that safarinut AKA Ray Smith had done work for me but he never did. Only work other people did for me was when johnny silva started my 41 coupe. And when me my buddies would toy around with cars when we were younger. Any othere work done for me was just help and i was there doing it as well
