54 Pontic (GM) flathead 6 question

Hi Crew,

Friend of mine has a 54 Pontiac with a straight flathead 6. He removed the ignition leads without marking number one on the dizzy cap *doh*. Could someone let me know please how to locate number one on the dizzy cap so I can get his beast out of my garage lol.

Cant help you on the flat six info, mine has a str8. does your buddy have any spares he needs to part with?

Turn the engine to the compression stroke on number one and pull the cap, see where its pointed and your there.

 

Hey champ... motor spares or car spares? I think he has a lot of trim etc spare.
