Road trip to KKOA show in July.......

Hey kids, the KKOA Spectacular is going to be in Salina on the last weekend in July.....I'm not sure of the dates..... I know there are a lot of us 'younger' folks around the midwest here that have decent rides but aren't quite sure about the KKOA shows.....so here's a deal for y'all, KKOA is 'officially' sponsoring caravans from about four different locations on Thursday morning that will all end up in Salina....I was thinking about having an official 'UNofficial' caravan from Wichita to Salina on Thursday night...and instead of ending up at a host hotel parking lot, maybe we can find some cool bar or even a nudie bar to rendevous at......KKOA shows are not known for being that kool. But they were the first to bring back the kustoms 25 years ago, in fact, this is the 25th anniversary of this show, and it IS back in Kansas where it belongs......let me know what y'all might think or if you have any ideas about putting all this together.........By the way, I'm not ****ing up to KKOA or anything with this, but I am proud to announce that I have been nominated for possible induction into their hall of fame this year...........I've always thought that I wouldn't ever consider being in anything that would have ME as a member, but just to think I'd be considered for anything that Gene Winfield was a member of gives me chills......thanks again for your time, and let's get something going here and have some fun in the midwest.......

if My Merc can keep up with ya guys, I'd be interested in cruising up to Salina with ya. I'm having to go to work on Thursday, so I won't be able to attend one of the official tours.

I'll take my "McPhail ****s" pin off of my dash and do some campaign'n. It didn't work at Lancaster, so maybe it will work in Salina.

it's been a while since i've been to a kkoa show, and since salina's within striking distance, i might make a trip out of it. what's the venue for show? i need lots of shade...

 

Huge midwestern shade trees line the park...don't think you can find a place in the park that isn't shaded!!!

I'm goin' to be heading up the Wichita group, heres the deal. Meeting at the Kansas Coliseum, north of wichita on I-35, planning to be there between 8:00 and Noon, then blasting off at noon heading to salina.Want 25 miles of Hot Rods!!!!!

Hey Micky Finaly got this friggin computor figgured out!!!!! Kid had to help.. Salina is gonna be super kool, gotta join us Wednesday night in Wichita.

 

Doubt that the Chrysler will be on the road by then, but I'll ride tail end charley with tools and such if you want.

 

I wanted to be there for the cruise, but I have a meeting on Thursday that I can't get out of. This is what happens when your low man. As soon as I get out of the meeting, I'll be heading north. I won't miss it!!
