  3. FWIW, there is more than one Morton brand building on the grounds.

However, since someone mentioned "dirt", I'd guess the one in question is in the SW corner, past the coliseum, down by the dead-end street?

If your a regular at BTTF youll know what morton building were talking of, in the past years its where the drawings were done. Its on the corner of underwood and randall, the south west corner.

  5. If you use the above map, the Morton building is on the corner of Randal and Underwood and the place everyone is meeting is near the spot that is marked "Sanitation" on the map, which is in the dirt parking lot right behind the Morton building, or in that vacinity right? Is someone going to have a HAMB flag flying or anything?

It's called the "Morton Building" 'cuz Morton uses it for it's salesroom during the State Fair.

I'm going to cruise in there probably Fri. and Sat. 2:00, but it sounds like Sat. would be the main day as there would be more people at the show.

  11. I'll probably do the same, cruise through a few times Fri to see if anyone is around and park Sat , BTW, stopped by your dad's place Sun. to look at that 42 ,missed ya again :D, get that flywheel changed out? Hope your dad's recovering well.

Pulled it apart last night, can't visibly see anything wrong with the torque converter or flywheel. At idle speeds it would cluck. Higher RPM's it goes away. Any ideas?

hope everyone has fun got everyones prob sunday being DaDs day funds will be used to take him & MoM out to eat not to run to twin city + brothers gotta work sat & ol ladys plan with her MoM to hit garage fell through so we are having one here fri-sat so wont be there again this year

  14. assuming the usual is ok (Ujoints etc) my guess is a bearing going in the converter or low pump pressure at idle (seals?),maybe w higher speeds the pressure builds and seals but I'm not a ford/merc guy , have your Dad call Gary Simpson in Sauk Rapids (he knows him) Gary's a Ford/Merc guru and owned several of your year cars, plus selling parts for em.(not a plug)

  16. Yeah, I won't be there this year either. I'm on call, so I can't be more than an hour away from the office.

At least this will give me more time to get my coupe on the road.

Lets say, hypothetically of course, that you and 6 of your friends wanted to take your car and go on saterday, but aren't registered yet. How would you go about doing that?

    -Jeff

  19. You can register till noon on Sat. $50 will get you, your car and one lucky friend into the grounds. Then $5 a head for the rest of em........or..........find someone leaving, get their window sticker and buttons.

    See ya down there.........

Can that be done at the gate, or do we have to go to the host hotel?

no registration at the gate...you must go to the host hotel...Hampton Inn, 1000 Gramsie Road, Shoreview, MN 55126....651-641-1992 for directions (right off of I-694). I DON'T think registration is open on Sunday...

I'll look forward to meeting ya, keep an eye open for a black '28 Ford flathead powered roadster. I'll attempt to meet up with any HAMB folks near the Morton building Fri. and Sat. at 2:00. Later.

This'll be my 4th or 5th year in a row i think; me and my dad and some other guys always make a weekend out of it. Think of it as our Hot rod "pilgramige" (sp?) for the year.

Unfortunately, the fairlane aint gonna make it... she's all im primer as i hoped, but didn't have enough time to get it assembled, and there's still a few nagging mechanical thing that I wouldn't trust in Twin City traffic. Next year for sure, tho.

Hoping to maybe find a project for my Dad too, if things go just right. Woot! Seeya all there.

Anyone find Rockola (WHO?) a room or a floor yet? He's old and soft so he cant camp anymore. The cheeze curds settle in his gullet and he snores. :D
