Long time reader, first time member. I've been a gearhead since I was old enough to know cars, thanks to my 2 older brothers and their hotrods. Our Dad and my brothers broke me in by taking me along to Sprint car races and my first Indy 500 by the time I was 8 years old in 1962. So I've had the disease now going on 50 years. I enjoy working on, but mostly driving, my flat-black '41 Ford pickup on a nearly daily basis. I spend most summer weekends at a traditional Sprint/Midget/Champ car race or a rod run somewhere throughout the Midwest. I enjoy the posts and information this forum has to offer and look forward to meeting many of the members down the road someday.
