As a matter of fact it was. He was also associated with a bunch of stolen vehicles on Stein over by WalMart. We busted a pretty big ring here!

They saw the ad in the newspaper that he coincidentally picked up two days ago, immediatly called his tow truck driver, and they both immediately contacted us and willingly went with us to the sherrifs office to provide more information. These guys really do seem innocent, I just cant explain in words via typing (sore thumbs) how they were, but they are. They said if they heard about it they would have told us earlier

I earlier posted videos of the vehicle where we found it, in pieces, earlier in this thread, if you dare watch it. My heart sank, but I was still glad we recovered all of it.
However, the grill was already sold. Luckily, the buyer was suspicious, and secretly reported it. He ended up being a guy who works at microsoft, right at Bill Gates side. He was more than willing to return the grill to us. He expressed that his main concern was to see the car complete again.

  5. Thats great news that the car has been recoved, even if one of the HAMBers wasn't directly involved in finding it, im glad we could get the word out and keep eyes open for it. Its great to see another stolen rig recoved.

He used to have 100%, then the guy who bought the grill left negative and said it was stolen XD . All sales have been frozen, too.

Dr, I don't know if this is significant or not, but while most of his items on Ebay show Washington as the location, several show Pompano Beach Florida as the shipping location. He also uses the name Gary there. Wonder what all of that is about?

He was beyond dumb, he had almost every part of that car listed on Ebay with pictures, two weeks after it was stolen. What a dumbass, but thankfully for you, he was. He evidently thought he had hit the motherlode with the outrageous prices he was asking.

When this all shakes out please come back and let us know what these two lowlifes got for punishment. I hope Washington State isn't as liberal as the California penal system.

We crossreferenced the phone number listed on the ebay posting with craigslist posts, then pretended I wanted to buy an item he was selling there, got his address and started spying, gathered evidence, and bam, enough for a warrant. Called the cops, reported. Kicked and banned from life as he knows it.

  13. I saw that roo. WOW. I wonder how many other cars and parts he's sold to unsuspecting buyers over the years.

The dumb ass even posted his name and phone number on one of his listings for 36 parts. He gets the stupid crook award this week.

Time for Ebay and the law to do a background check.

  16. Excellent detective work! You should show Spokane's finest how it's done.

  17. That's why they resort to a life of crime. They're to stupid to do it legitimately.

He has been using two phone numbers and multiple names, according to the police. When he was listing on ebay, he purposefully listed there so it didnt seem suspicious, but he screwed up one one and accidentally put his real location at greenacres washington.
These parts are definitely ours, as we have now recovered them and confirmed. We didnt need to see it in person to know, any enthusiast would have looked at the bumpers and said the red stripes are not factory, which is true. My grandpa put thise on, its red tape. And the mounts and electricalfor the fog lights are custom and extremely unique, and we wphad pics of the car prior to being stolen and can superimpose the pics on each other, we had no doubtthese parts were from our car.

  19. Like many states, they don't treat vehicle theft as a 'serious' felony. Unfortunately, they probably won't serve a long stretch of time in the gray bar hotel.

Most of his Ebay sales seem to be electronics. Bet the crime rate in your area for that kind of stuff drops significantly now that he has been caught.

  25. With over a 1000 ebay transactions it may be sad seeing some of the other stuff that got sold. It might help clear up some more crimes and auto thiefs from the past 12 years. Glad to hear you got it back.

I'll keep my eyes open in the Seattle area. There's a swap meet next month in Puyallup. Wonder if the thief would be dumb enough to try to sell it, or part of it there...

  27. I hate to inform you, but the car has been found, and the perps have been arrested. Read the previous posts. The owners future SIL has posted videos and provided a link to the Spokane TV stations.

We already retrieved the car mate! Go through earlier posts inhis thread, I posted videos of the car the way we found it and news stories about it.

Also, it looks like there are 4 more guys out there that were involved that havent been found yet.
