Hey guys, If my 1927 coupe doesnt sell then Im playing with the idea of getting some 32 rails and pinching them to fit with the body. So does anyone out there have pictures of a 1926-27 coupe or roadster on deuce rails? Thanks guys!
Seen many 27 roadsters on deuce rails as high boys.Look in some of the old Hot Rod magazines in the '50's .I think they look great done that way.No need to pinch the frame.Maybe make it flat as the 32 frame rises up from the firewall to front crossmember. That will make lining up the grille easier with the cowl.
I'm not sure why the Keith Tardel - built roadster for Todd Walling is not pictured on his Rex Rods site anymore, but it was perfect. Here is the HAMB thread about the car: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5004
Rodrobb, thats an awesome car man. Thats exactly what I want to do someday. Desert-deuce, thanks for the advice man. That totaly makes sence too. I wonder if the companys that make aftermarket stamped rails have thought of that? Or if its something that I would just have to do. Haring- that car is bitchin. I have a 27 coupe right now thats kinda on the backburner, but thats the look im trying to go for.
