I have to fly my *** out to Milwaukee tonight for a work emergency. Was wondering where I could stop out for a beer Thursday and Friday night? I planned on looking up Bleed, but he's busy with the wife So where is a good place to have a few?
SINCE YOURE FLYING IN YOU'LL LIKELY BE STAYING BY THE AIRPORT? IM NOT TOO FAMILIAR WITH THE SOUTH SIDE, BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF GOOD SHOWS AT THE CACTUS CLUB: 2496 S WENTWORTH: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&formtype=address&searchtype=address&cat=&address=2496%20S%20Wentworth%20Ave&city=Milwaukee&state=WI&zipcode=53207%2d1956&searchtab=home OTHER LOCAL HAMBERS MAY KNOW A OF A LOT OF OTHER PLACES DOWN THERE, BUT THE CACTUS CLUB IS A PLACE THAT BLEED PLAYS AT A LOT...IT'S DIRTY AND LOUD AND CRAMPED...A GOOD ATMOSPHERE.
Sounds like my kind of place. I'm actually staying in Glendale, but will try to make it down that way.
I just came back from seeing my parents up there. I highly recommend the German restaurant downtown. Can't remember the name (it was hard to pronounce anyway) but it was authentic food and a BIG beer list. I had a Hocker Pschorr that was perfect! The brewery tours are a good time too!
Repo: Totally...dont Rem The Name O That Place, The German Restaurant...but Sprecher Brewery Is In Glendale...that Place Rules. So Does The Beer.
Last time I visited this client I drove by the Sprecher Brewery everyday. Never had time for a tour. I have eaten at that German restaurant, Speidelhaus? Das Brat Stuppen? Had a hard time finishing the *** Blitz Platter. Good Saurbraten. I love it that you can even get a good beer at the airport. The airport bar has more on tap than my local brew pub.
Hey man, Ask someone at the airport about the Palomino, it's a bar restaurant 3-5 miles north of the airport in Bayview. Great local hangout, awsome food, great crowd, and of course great beer selection. It's next to the Cactus club, so if somebody can get you there, you can't miss it. I'll be at BTTF's all weekend, otherwise I'd meet ya for a couple! Casey
mmmmmm Sprecher's!!! and Eastside Brewery makes a good brew too. and if you happen to end up at a bar...CHEESE CURDS!
Palimino and the three surounding bars are a safe bet...! pm me with your number I might be able to help!
Looks like I'll be your NJ amb***ador at the Palomino tonight, if I ever get done here at work. 51, I'll call you when I get out of here. -E 848-248-2295

Well, I guess I asked for it! OW, my head! Milwaukee was great! Big thanks to Wingnuts for showing me around. Saw much cool **** and drank even more beer. He even got me into the Yacht Club, a first for me! I even stumbled on a Vicky project around the corner from the hotel. I think Wingnuts has dibs if I can find the owner. The Palomino was cool. I think all the good looking broads are there. made it back to the hotel around 5. I've got a taste for Sprecher's now. Good beer. Glad I stayed the weekend. Looking forward to getting back soon. I think it would make a great summer road trip to head up that way. Thanks again to Wingnuts! Had a great time when I was expecting a miserable weekend in a town I knew nothing about.
