I'm looking for a couple rubber plugs to fit 1.375 holes(Access holes for body mount bolts). The car did not have plugs in these holes originally, but I'm trying to close them up so mice can't get inside the floor brace. I've checked Arnold Motor, Lowes, Shoppers Supply, J.C. Whitney and a few others and have come up empty handed. I've found a pair on Ebay, but they are "NOS Datsun" and the guy thinks that makes them gold or something. What now? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    J

  2. Tin foil in the hole will keep the mice away until you locate the plugs.

Check Chevy van hinge bolt access hole plugs. Seem close to that from memory.

Foil tape would be better, it could even be permanent.

In the aviation industry it is called speed tape. The heating and air conditioning guys use it to seal the seams on the ducts.

Try Spaenaur, they show some in their on line catalog

  8. Tin foil keeps mice out of holes because they dont like the noises and especially the rough edges of crumpled up Tin foil.

Why not go to the local hardware store or parts house and get the rubber freeze plugs with the bolt in the center. Install and take out when you need too. They are about an inch thick, rat will be to full to eat after all that eating. They come in 3/4 inch up to 2 1/2 inches
