    cool.... i want one....

  5. That finger always creeps me out.

I suppose if you don't need it its kind of silly.
If you do need it 800 is what it costs.

I did so much stainless handrail in my younger years the old fashioned way. I think if I had that back then I wouldn't be as old as I am.

  6. Metabo invented the angle grinder...very high quality.

Most of my grinders are Metabo now. Ditto on the quality. Now I just need to convince the wife this is a needed tool.

Metabo makes quality stuff I have a grinder that is about eight years old and I will probably have for life. I would buy that tool if the job called for it.

I make stainless handrails for the Marion County Correctional Facility(brushed finish). That thing would pay for itself fairly quickly.

they will have them for $40.00 at Harbor Freight any day now.

you'd really have to be a tube polisher to need one of those at that price.

    I'm not a tube polisher.:D

Sorry that finger wasn’t one of my best days.
I have used that avatar on a few sights
It kinda messed me up on C notes while playing the piano

    > </o:p>
If you needed this I can defiantly see getting it, it would save a lot of time and sweat
I just wouldn&#8217;t use it enough to justify it (at this time)
I was thinking on how to make one myself
Use a drill, some machined down wheels from a skate board or pulleys from a timing belt and some spring loaded brackets
Don&#8217;t think it would be to hard specially for some of the members on here
    Their fabrication skills are killer

  17. Ha! Told you that you'd want one. :)

That would be handy for doing headers, but $800 is too salty, i'd consider one for about half that. I don't mind paying fair value, i have a problem payin for greed.

  22. Looks like a cool piece for a very special application. I wonder about the belt guides staying in alignment over time. That could get to be a real mess....

Looks like something I would see on a infomercial at midnight, which at the the time seems like a great deal.

looks like a crank/ cam polisher

  26. This would be good for anything in a round shape that you wanted to clean up or metal polish. That will take you quite a bit of time to do it, or cost you quite a bit money to have it done.

Of course tubing as in headers, but let's not forget all the other stuff on our cars.
Rearends, tubular & banjo ends, wishbones or radius rods, driveshafts or driveshaft tubes, radius rods, any of your suspension tubing, seamless stainless tubing, and all of the other various roundness on our cars. Dog bone brackets, F1 shock mounts, perch pins, spings hangers, headlight mounts and bars.

Metal finishing, or polishing that round stuff is tricky and can get that carple tunnel really pissed off trying to avoid several hundred flatspots in the cir***ference.

Having done a lot of metal polishing over the decades that sure looks like it solves a number of problems. When I think of the cost of paying someone else to do the metal polishing that $849.00 is less painful. Part No. is 602132620 Metabo RBE 12-180 pipe sander for Santa's info ;) and it's available at Sears.com or Buy.com - just a couple of sources....
