Im stuck there at the end of next month for work. Anything that I should not miss? I land on Feb 23 leave on Feb 27. Also looking for live music, good food, cheap bars, night time car cruises. I'll be in a rental, but always nice to check out the local hot rods. Keith
in San Mateo head west on Hiway 92, then take Skyline south and take the slow twisty way down to Santa Cruz, then back up Hiway 1 along the coast. it's more fun on a motorcycle, but a nice drive in a car.
What are you doing in San Mateo? I have lived here since '47. I don't know what to tell you about any of that stuff.
The company I work for is putting on a trade show there. I don't even know what space they are renting for it. All I know is the dates. They do 5-8 of these a year,in different cities. The last one I went to was over Fathers Day Weekend in Ontario, Real close to the LA Roadster Show. AWESOME time!! I'm hoping to hit up some more cool California car shows on the company's dime. If I find something REAL cool, I can have it put in the semi and sent back home to me. Keith

Looks like I'm gonna have to leave some room in my carry on for some new shop shirts, I cant not buy one. Gambino's and Brizio's are on my must see list. Any chance they are open late? I'll be working the show until around 5:30 Fri, Sat ans Sun. Keith
You really need to do a throughout internet search of "What to do in the bay area" during your stay. There is always something going on within a fifty mile radius of the city and it is gonna be stuff your gonna be sorry you missed .... yeah and keep SantaCruz and Monterrey area in your search .... the area is all a blast (even Oakland! LOL).
End of Feb? Hmmm...trying to think whether there's anything notable going on...nothing comes immediately to mind, but...there's GoKart Racer in Burlingame. I've never been to Godfather's but it's always busy when I drive by. There's lots of upscale burger options, my preference is Jack's Prime a few blocks north. Duarte's (Do-ARTs) is a nice place to go for breakfast (or lunch, IIRC) once you've had a nice run out Stage Road in a car properly suspended for such roads and collected some bicycles in the grille (that's a joke, son...but there are times that road's been kinda inundated with spandex...) Millbrae Pancake House is a pretty big place, they do good (what else?) pancakes alas they lost half their parking lot to some biggish (by Millbrae standards) new apartment building that the city permitted for that spot in pursuit of property-tax revenue.
