Guys I have a problem!

Who gives a ****. Hes got a car that anybody can buy off a show room floor. Youve got a car with style. Like others said, theres always gonna be somebody faster

 

What are you, like 12 years old?

 

1) How new is new in regards to the stang? Current model or recent? i think it's more like from daddy's credit rating vs. outright buy.....but i digress.
a) Plan on spending half of what the stang is worth at the minimum; i think you'd have him then.

2) How old are you?

3) Is the car in the avatar your car in question? Need more info on your current setup. For example, what rear axle type?

My thought is that it is kind of childish/maybe not as mature as could be/twisted logic etc. Then, on the other hand why does anybody go fast in first place? Why does anyone hot rod in the first place----for fun! Plus, it could be a learning experience. So, i think the aim may have merit.


Why does one woman put socks/tissue paper in her bra-----to out s*** all the other women. All the makeup etc. So, it's kind of like the same thing.

 

I figured I'd ask, since the 350 is such a popular engine I figured you guys had the thing figured out and could point me in the direction of a stout enough combination that could give a rich kid a run for his money (pun intended). I really appreciate the guidance and concern, but I don't see why I should just let people p*** me by because I'm driving an old car. I'm sure all of you guys were young and dumb at one point, and I'd bet you have a few stories to tell. I just wanna have a little fun and hold my own on the boulevard. What's wrong with that? Here's my suggestion:
Log on to Speedtalk.com and register. Then, ask about a combination for about 500 Hp in a nice way. You don't need to mention that you want to beat a Mustang. Those guys can do it all. Be prepared to spend some money.

 

If you're hung like a horse, you don't need a Rustang!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Turn him into a friend, he could learn from you, and you from him. In the end you'll have a new friend, and he'll probably let you drive the mustang.

 

You said rich kid,dang hes got to be at least 16 to drive .You are just a kid to. Sounds more like alittle jealousy going on. If you dont want to take FAB32's advice, then put a 6 cylinder in it and you dont have to worry about going fast. Problem solved

 

350? 1970 was the last year for any real hp. Chances are you have a smogged pile of heap for a motor. Example: a Olds 425 from the sixties packs 370hp and over 400 foot lbs of torque. Changing a intake aint gonna do ****. And neither will a cam..

A geo metro is all you need to beat a mustang. May want to pull back a little though, we don't want him to cry when you have blown past him at 43 mph.

 

+1. That's the answer right there. Looking cool is almost always better than having the faster car.

On a side note, it's true that there will always be someone out there faster than you. Like my girlfriend's mom who drives a 427R Roush Mustang. Not too many cars are beating that. But if your car is looking good, you'll get more respect.

I love all the responses. You are young but don't fall into the trap of street racing. Do it at the track. Is it your only ride? If so , anything you do to make it quicker will make it less dependable as daily transportation. Got spare engines s***ting around? By all means throw some nitrous to it. You can probably beat him 1/8 mile now, provided you have track experience. It will take him a while (if ever) to figure out that 6 spd. btw, you guys sound pathetic! Street racing is GREAT when done in a organized manner, ive been involved with some really unsafe street racing, and some stuff that was safer than most drag strips. Now ive done some REALLY dumb racing in the past on local backroads, some of which i'm a 1/2 ***ed local legend over, but ive also done some stuff that was really safe, as in empty 4 lane hiway late at night. There are a LOT of roads that are practically unused at certain hrs

Becides most of my rigs would never p*** tech at a track anyway, and there also is that extra little dirty feeling with breaking that law that changes it from feeling like watching **** to having great ***

Now the initial question may have been worded childish, it a hot rodding tradition, dont beat him up over it

From one young guy(19) to the next he has you beat in every way butlooks.Hehasmoney,brakes,tires,suspension,trans,motor,aerodynamics and acceleration/top speed on his side. Unless you can out hole shot every pro drag racer out there and even if you could you still don't stand a chance. He has 412 horses and 390ft pounds of torque with a 7000 rpm capability and he has all sorts of traction control stuff that will get him off the line way before you. Youre also talking about spending big bucks in a ******* contest with a rich kid rich being the key word, all he has to do is say "dad the kid down the streets car is faster than mine i want to beat him" with one swipe of a credit card he has you beat again! Sounds to me like the kid stole your girl cause she likes his mustang. If thats the case she wasn't worth the effort man. Find a girl that likes you for who you are and digs your old car and trust me you will forget said douchenugget with the rustang! If you still want to race him best of wishes to you and your life as a dumb***!

 

Maybe I should not admit this here but im 22, my dad bought me a mustang, its Alaska so its real loud and annoying.....


and I have people trying to race me all the time. In fact I my windshield is destroyed because a few kids cut me off (our roads here are not salted they use gravel)


I can out drive most of the people I have met so far, and I like to hang out with the ones I can't beat.
