That is beautiful. Job well done to everyone who helped.

Can you PM me the contact info for the chrome plating company? I'm shopping for quotes on a project I am currently working on. Thanks! :)

Nailed it. Keep the Olds caps.

I might go a little darker on the wheel color - like almost marroon... But that's just a personal preference without much wieght.

Top color is going to white I'm betting? Match that with white tuck-n-roll, light lavender inserts, and that gorgeous dash...

    VERY nice car going together.

Looks awesome! I just put 2 and 2 together on the history of your car last week when I was reading my latest issue of one of the top 5 mags (recently re-born) in print. It was almost the same feeling as reading one of those storys about a lost & found famous kustom :D . Congrats on the "coverage" Denise.

Thanks for all the kudos! Just to answer a few of the questions, the color is very close to a '61 Olds color called Twilight Mist Poly that Earl Schieb "bucket mixed" then tweeked abit.

The wheels and tires that are on Big Olds are borrowed for size purposes. (and burnout purposes cuz thats just about the only thing those bias ply tires are good for;) :D ) Big Olds's wheel color will be a darker red, kinda similar to the red lens of the tail lights, dark red but not quite maroon. The front wheels will be a tad wider then whats showing now so they will fill up the wheel well better and bring the wheel closer to the lip. Brand new WWW radials are on their way and should be here by the begining of next week.

    The top will be white.

Interior will be black with just a touch of white. It will not be vinyl or any other material that does not breath. I'm thinking a black tone on tone cloth or perhaps a small, fun print. I plan to get alittle more serious about the interior design as soon as the top and windows are done. Which leads to the windows. All the chromed window trim is at the gl*** shop with new gl*** being cut and installed in the frames right now.

As far as front license plates go I feel very fortunate to live in a state which does not require front license plates or ugly registration stickers on the windshield. How you see the front end now is how he's going to look with the only exception being he'll be alittle lower once I do the drop spindles. :D

Stayed tuned to this channel for further updates as progress continues:cool:

I think you the only one on the HAMB that can say "maybe a fun print" when talking about your new interior, and not get ripped a new one! haha
    Fun like your snazzy pants?

    Probley true! :D

and you didn't use the word "snazzy" before, you called them "pretty" which I thought was so funny coming from a guy.......but then again, you are a GMB :D

BobK, no, probley not. At this point I'm just worried about getting my new tires in time. My right rear will not make it another 1,500 miles. The burnout at Billetproof was fun but kinda foolish.

    Looks great, HRLC!

My vote goes for the Olds caps, too. I had a set on my car for a while, but they wouldn't stay on for me! Hope you have better luck!

Am I still seeing the holes for the "spears" on the sides of the front fenders/fender extensions? I was thinking it needs just a little "visual speed bump" (as one of my college drawing profs would say) to break up all those s****y curves.

You're on the home stretch, and deserve many miles with Big Olds finished the way YOU envisioned him done. I can't think of a more deserving person, congrats. (now get that top on so the rubber ducky suit can get a rest:) )
