That '35 is awesome and the exact look that my cabriolet is getting.

  2. A friend of mine Brian Gursansky built this car back in the early 70's here in Oz. Very stout LT-1 based 327 SBC for power.

Won many trophys and in particular won the 1977 Go-Whoa event at the Street Rod Nationals of that year.

These pics were taken that year at that event.

Here's our '35... It is in desperate need of a make-over. It's on the list of "cars to save" now. HAHA! My Dad and I built it in the 90's together. It's a really good thing we didn't do much of what we had planned for this car in the beginning...:eek: It's mostly aesthetic stuff.

Well it's sunny and 50º here so I can't say we're exactly in the same boat but it appears both of our cars are in a similar situation. Actually I haven't touched mine in 3 months because I've been so burnt out on it however I am making a day of it on Saturday and plan on getting the brakes off to be rearched, an oil change, and a seat adjustment. Maybe a weekend or two before I get to drive it for the first time. Exciting!!

Too bad about your '35. That blows...

  16. Looks like mine will be heading out for some work.. (hopefully not engine related ugh) Need to have some wiring issue and small odds and ends straightened out. I want to jump in it this spring and summer with no worries.. It's a blast to drive , the few short trips I got to make...

  17. here's mine....on it's way out to the trim shop Friday... TBJ

Well at least you got to drive yours, I've owned this thing for 2.5 years and have only got to steer it out of the Armory at Jalopyrama with a few friends pushing me.

I have one little voltage draw to attend to also. I'm thrashing this weekend for sure. You've got me all excited!

I've posted this before but for those that haven't seen it, this was a real 1960
HotRod, right out of the Oakland and SF roadster shows.

  20. still haven't figured out my little knocking noise yet, I've got some weird ground problem with a gauge I think( the lighting for it starts to flash on and off ) Access plate needs to be made to cover the clutch and brake master cyl. resv. The hole is driving me nuts, just finished cutting up the repop front rubber mat and jute padding to fit around the Hurst floor shift.. Good Ole Saphire is being a bit of bitch at the moment... But I will make her happy .. LOL
