Yea I ain't been on here 30 minutes and already goofed up by just posting rather than doin the intro first... SO, to tell a little bit about me, I have been a car nut since day one. I could rebuild a carb by age 7 and broke 100mph for the first time when I was only 12... borrowed my parents car (1988 Caprice wagon) at 3am, they still don't know to this day. I love speed and I love to drive, I take pride in getting to tinker with my vehicles any chance I get. I recently got very lucky and found a 1958 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88, she aint much to look at but she's still a solid car. I joined this site because fixing these cars isn't just a hobby, it's an obsession and I want to know and learn as much as I can about it. This way later on down the road when someone with the same questions comes along I can teach them. I've read 20 maybe 30 post on here so far and to sum it up... I'm home. There's countless years of experience knowledge on here and all you have to do is read and ask a few questions to get it. I'm really looking forward to what you guys have to offer and meeting yall. Just try to stay patient with the internet newbie here, I live between jack stands not behind a computer desk.
Got my driver's license at 16, an hour later, dad said you can take the Poncho for a couple of hours (a gold 67 Pontiac Executive wagon he ordered new and was just a few months old). Jumped in and I headed straight out of town on Highway 200 to see how fast she'd go. At about 110 I shut her down, and of course, never ever told him, would have been a bad time to meet a patrolman, though maybe he wouldn't have seen me I was going so fast. This is a great site, welcome!
