We all have our own tastes. I was sick of looking at the holes from the old damaged side trim so I decided to fill them full with bullets. These babies are sharp. People won't want to get to close for fear of tetnus. Not sure if this will be permenant but I do like the look. I know this probably isn't traditional but it is different. What do you think?
i think that ****'s right up my alley! me likey! it would go with my br*** knuckles shift knob and shot gl*** hood ornament on my '51...
Ha ha! Reminded me of that in Ben Hur with the spike spoked wheels on the chariots! I like it though! Never seen it done but I think it looks the bees knees........very manly. **x Brandy
That paint job looks way too black and shiney not to have nice slick and shiny trim on it. The spikes are neat, but a little too much of a novelty for my taste. Kinda ruins the flow of the car in my eyes....
when i first saw it done on the hood of a friends car i thought it looked more like a big eye sore and screamed that it was a **** up and did not fill the holes.
Believe me, the pics do the car justice. The paint is not that nice, lots of flaws and patina. I appreciate the comments from both sides. Thanks, ******Knuckles
The 55 Pontaic I bought off RoadDevil13 had those dumb things in the hood where the bird once was and in the decklid where it used to say Pontiac (which by the way means that they weren't in an even line ). So because I'm not that manly, I pulled them out of the hood and replaced it with an old Cheiftains head I got from Rocky and gonna fill the decklid ones. Sometimes they make a wonderful addition to a car and other times they don't......but that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors of ice cream! **x Brandy
There was some car at Billetproof that was missing trim and I thought it needed bullets like that. I'm thinking a squarish big 60s car but I don't remember. I think it's cool in some cases.
for a bit of work, you might be able to get some "star" shaped bits from a 50's grille (what car had those three little stars the quarter panel?), and attach them to the holes, that would be different and interesting...
Yea you need some of those big knarly spinners on your hubcaps like the pizza face guy had in Grease. Looks good to me, gives it a kind of a Don't F*&% With Me look.
Saw that first done about six or more years ago. VW Bug with about fifty spikes down the center of the bonnet, then excentuated the look with black tooled leather that looked like ******* gear, steel rings and all! Looked very gay
HAHA. Hot Topic RULES! pretty soon they'll start selling badly chopped model A's & shoeboxes with larger than life iron crosses on them. Can't wait. Nothing say's PUNK like a brand spanking new RAMONES t-shirt for $12.99. -r
It would cooler if you drove around blaring the music from the gay bar in Police Acadamy. I dont think it looks bad but I dont think it looks good either.
Me Too.........I'm so old those words aren't even in my vocabulary, but I think I get the meaning The key word is taste......and my taste is old timey strawberry and not into punk/goth. IMHO the holes would look better to me.
Pontaic had astro stars on them....they got bigger in 58. That could be interesting! PB, that would be cool! Spiked caps on an old car, now that's something you only see in the movies!! **x Brandy
