A sensational day, and one that I was honoured to be a part of. Too many pics and not enough time to upload right now, but more later in the week.

Thanks to all involved, a great effort made for a great event.

Sean, fantastic coverage and a real credit to you, i'll hijack your thread a little if that's o.k.

1 year in the planning, plenty of nights in cold garages and drinking beer and here we are. The River City Coupe and Roadster club was formed a year ago to hold a reliabiliy run and add another event to the calendar and compliment the great chopped weekend run by the Ford's and Corey Swifts get togethers, nothing to big, the right cars and the right people.

The dedication of our small band has to be seen to be believed, Tom(humanfly) making the timing tags, Deano stamping, Mark(KOOL52)
pumping out great artwork for the banners and auction items through the year, Jimmyb providing the great posters, Greg Hardy for his organisational skills(and voice), stovebolt for the food and every other little job that needed doing, doug(A Racer) for working hard on the poles for the banner and fronting every meeting,Kenny for providing the comic relief, Ben for opening his shop and providing great coffee, Craig and Jason, for running around like blue asrse flies on the friday night and saturday manning check points, and Frank(ratbastad) for being there from the word go.

I really have to thank the entrants, without you guys this deal just wouldn't happen, so thankyou.

Ryan and Blake , two of the most cool and easy going guys you could ever meet, thankyou for doing the 30 hours in cattle cl***.

Last but not least, my partner Jess, doing the cooking, on club nights, the running around, dealing with me!!! Thanks jess.

    We'll seeya all nextyear

  12. Well said Thommo....had a HUGE thanx to Jess for feeding the crew during get togethers.

Looking forward to more involvement on the coming years - great to meet Ryan and Blake - super nice, committed guys for sure !

Lastly, these guys ARE a great bunch of people, dte, no at***ude and I felt priveleged to be a part the inaugural event.

Looking forward to next year's event with better wheel studs HAHAHA.

Well said, THOMMO... big thanks to you and the RCCRC guys for all the hospitality so far, and to Jess for making us feel right at home in your home.

BTW, we need more beer and toilet paper out here in the 'garage'. :D

  15. Pete, on the way up the Hume after leaving the runs START location, I felt a vibration coming for the rear of the car.

Put the clutch in and it was still there thinking it may have been eng/trans. No dice so i backed off pronto and slowly pulled over.

Popped a rear hubcap - 3 of wheel studs snapped off. Will be upgrading to 1/2" forged studs. Billet steel spacers had loaded the 7/16" studs excessively and trashed three of the studs.

Funny that - cars been on the road for 6 yrs now and has been great - I go on 2 "reliability" runs and have dramas on both of em. :)

    Third time lucky perhaps?

Close call but **** happens, glad it all worked out.

Hey Frank - I've never heard of Early ford rear studs breaking - there might be a spare banjo rear here for ya, then it'll never happen again ... ;)

Btw ..... anyone for a cold Chicken roll??????

  17. Perhaps its was the mondo HP/TQ from the blown flathead that caused the damage? :)

The cold chicken roll was great !!

Well Frank as least no damage was done, and you're a member of the elite group that went on the Unreliability run.

Looks like a repeat performance for next year. It's a great feelin' when your event gets off to a super start. Great job to all the guys that pulled it off and to those that had the balls to take the challenge and make it through.

Great pix and a fantastic weekend. Thanks to Thomo, Greg, and the rest of the crew in giving us what we needed...... a killer event that I will most definately put into the calendar.

The Kid and I had a blast cruizing around in the roadster soaking up the sun and the crazy vibe on Saturday. So happy to be a part of such a well organized weekend!
