I know this link probably wont work, but try to follow it. the guys comments are spot on, even if the roadster is not quite "traditional" http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-1574...ren-of-fallen-disabled-warriors-27819348.html
if they raffled that off at 10 bucks a ticket can you guess how many tickets they would sell if they took it to car shows for a year instead some one with deep pockets will buy it and and hide it in a personal collection I wonder if it will wind up at barrett jackson
I like the Car...AND the Cause. whether it goes to a collection or gets thrashed, it about the cause and all the folks that came together to make it happen
i have seen the car firsthand several times and its a beautiful car and for a great cause. i have met and spoke with Chuck and others involved with the project and i have never met anyone so dedicated.
I had the opportunity to see this at SEMA last November. It is awesome. The trunk is amazing, it is signed by living recepients of the Medal of Honor which is usually given posthumously. You can feel the energy from those signatures.
We (PerTronix) liked what they were doing, a very worthy cause, so we donated product to the build. Hope it sells for really stupid money to help the cause!
As a Veteran myself, that literally welled my eyes. Thats so awsome. As for this quote, there is absolutly nothing wrong with being wealthy. Strugling to to get by with a family of five on the lower end of Middle Income in So-Cal, it's very easy to fall into that trap. Resist! Instead I try to work harder, and come up with a better idea. Maybe one day I may become that "Rich Guy" with "deep pockets" so that I can buy the things I want for my own personal enjoyment. Given the cause, I don't give a damn what happens to the car, as long as it brought STUPID money for the children of our wounded and disabled vets.
