Are there any updates on the conditions at Bonneville?

Should I be making my reservations? Should I be having reservations?

    Thanks,

    Matt

We're in the mid 80's. There's a car show out there this weekend so we should hear what the salt looks like next week. Last I heard it was looking good!

Tman, that link shows the American Eagle car. It's thrust driven. (jet engine)
I was under the impression that SCTA had banned "thrust engines." (mainly because there isn't enough track length to allow the higher speeds)

    Wendover / Bonneville Weather Information

    http://www.landracing.com/

Click on "Speedweek", upper left corner. Then "Weather"

    Hotel info on right side.

  9. Just ran across this update. Thought I would share -

7-22-05 We have just returned from our trip to layout our courses for this upcoming salt season. As most of you are aware, we had a fair amount of water covering the salt this past winter. It has taken a while to dry, but dry it did. We have established our customary two courses, one long and one short so we should be able to keep lines at a minimum. Though they are not in exactly the same location as last years’ courses, we believe they will be suitable for our record number of entries (based on our pre-entry count) and with a little luck the weather will hold for us.

This year we found the salt very hard but also very rough. We began preliminary dragging of the courses during our Pre-Trip and will continue to drag after our early arrival prior to SpeedWeek to assure that we provide our participants with the best courses possible.
