rehooping a 15" hub on a 16" wheel

A long story why I want to do this but I was wondering if anyone out there knew someone who could weld the center of a 15" VW wheel into a 16" x 6" hoop? Thanks.

there's several threads on here about doing the same thing.

 

The VW center may be too small to fit in the 16" hoop. You may have to have someone make the center out of plate and then weld it into the 16" hoop. We used to do it for wide fives on the racecars before they were available comercially.

 

Measure the 16" hoop and compare it to the 15" hoop. I'm sure the 15" hoop is a smaller diameter.
