Great Start! I'll be following your progress as I've been collecting parts for my own '30 Ford Roadster build, someday.

  15. Ok well after struggling with a brand new faulty hoist from PEP BOYS( the damn thing kept losing hydrolics) we finally got the banger out and the 265 in, along with the 3spd.
She ain't pretty by any means but she's ready to be mocked up and to see where we are gonna have to tweak the cowl.

We were also able to install the new front end. Now she's got a 3" dropped axle reverse eyed lowered spring new king pins modified wishbones and she's about 4" lower then before.
I'll post a few pics in a bit.

Looks like a fun project. I like the idea of running the 265 too.

  17. Very Cool! Great project. I like the Tudor next to it also.

  23. Todays update;

Ok so the UPS guy is going to be at the house a few times this week as i've hit the credit card pretty hard in the last week.
Last night was especially exciting as I secured a pair of vintage HILDEBRANDT finned valve covers to spruce up the 265 and also a nice cowl light on E-BAY.

I've got a new set of aprons coming along with a new 32 front cross member and some more suspension parts.
Also bought the lower stanchions so I can finally fit the swap meet deluxe windshield and really have her looking like a real car.

Also found a nice new dash rail from Brookville and recieved it last week.

I even ordered some back issues of ROLLS & PLEATS & HOP UP, along with The Road To Bonneville & Devil At Your Feet DVD's to keep me motivated(as if i really needed more motivation)!

Today we are going to hit the ole' girl hard and hopefully get the remainder of the welding done on the body so we can really set our sights on getting the frame in tip top shape.

Keep checking back for more progress as we are going pretty strong on the ole ' FORD and will be adding pictures of our progress.

I know it's not an original idea but I worked for the BOE for 11yrs and also remember as a kid going to check on the school on weekends with my grandfather as he was a fireman.
    Reminds me of my gramps.

Gonna use her as a shift knob.

  27. Thanks.
We haven't gotten that far yet but i'm guessing from your question you've been down this road before? lol

  28. Thanks Mav!

I've been toying with the idea of going to steelies with blackwalls but I really do love the wide whites.

  29. Hey guess whose got 2 thumbs and had FED EX deliver his aprons & lower stanchions today?
