Planning to going 1000 miles from Montana to Turlock in hopes of buying a car lift for my garage and shop for other car stuff. Anyone have any ideas as to which one to buy. Most of them are built in China, should I stay away from any brand in particular. Any suggestions would be helpful. Does anyone sell these new at Turlock?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

I wouldn't buy a Chinese one. For under $2,000 and probably well under, you can find a good used Rotary.

I have seen several dealers for lifts at Turlock and other swaps, and I believe most of what I've seen are made here in the U.S. Mine that I purchased about 9 or 10 years ago was made in Texas (can't remember the brand, would have to make a trip up to the barn to look and see) and has served me well with no problems at all. You will become very popular with friends and family once you buy one, it's like owning a car trailer.

I have bought a bunch of lifts over the last 10 years from dealerships or garages as they close down, they can usually be had for under 1k and they are usually great quality commercial lifts...... I currently have 5 of them in my garage that I use just to make some extra room by storing cars on and under them...
