I am trying to decide on a wheel color for my 36 Tudor sedan.

I have a new set of WV smoothies and 41 caps with smooth trim rings. I am leaning towards a baby blue or powder blue to contrast with the present color of my sedan.

I think it would look good, any other ideas, or does anyone have any pictures of the combo I have in mind ?

I want to send my wheels to powder coat so would like to decide on a color. :)

Here is my sedan and a wheel color I like. That or a paler blue is what I have been thinking.

Also a shot of a coupe with powder blue wheels

By the way my sedan is also getting a new ch***is and stance.

I think that would look good, certainly wouldn't want them to be the same color, way too monotone. Not sure you would want them a whole lot lighter either, gets away from accent color and goes into the contrast.

Can't see the wheels too well in the third photo, but I like the color & contrast. BW or WW, either one would work...

Go with the lighter blue wheels in the middle photo. Black walls would be OK. Maybe, some WWW Coker Radials for a '50's look for some cool cruising.

Anyone else care to chime in ?

I was also considering a cream color something like this, although I'm not sure it would work with my blue.

Jersey and Tacoma Cream are both available in powdercoat and either would look good. Maybe add a fineline pinstripe, same color as car, around perimeter of wheel.

I was gonna say baby blue, but I was also gonna suggest cream- then I saw that you just thought of that. I dig the cream.

The light blue in your photo is nice and I am always ok with creme... but just to be a bit different how about a light charcoal grey with a body color pin stripe between the cap and beauty rim????

I was thinking cream when I was reading the first post. I would do the grill bars too and a little pinstriping on the back.

I like the cream, would look great against that blue body. Are ya sure you want to powder coat them? I've got Rustoleum on mine and after 2 years they look the same as the day I painted them. Also, easy to change colors if you're not happy.

I'm amazed at how many opinion posts there are. You are always going to find varying opinions, and what, you just go with the popular vote on your car? Do what you want. Bu since you asked, go with the light blue, but I'm partial.

As far as opinion posts go, it's a good way to gather feedback and while we all have different tastes there will always be something that is just wrong in a color choice.

Threads like this give the opportunity to gather ideas and see what you like.

In the end of course it's personal choice but you also want something that looks good too.

I kinda like the cream the more I look at it. I think the cream could look good no matter the shade of blue.

I will most definitely be doing blackwalls as my personal tastes do not like whitewalls in any form.

Powder coating will possibly stand up better to the caps and trim rings and will be less prone to stone chips.

So which of the 2 is the nicer cream color ? I'll have to visit the powdercoater and see if he has samples.

Edit, I just talked to the powder coat guy and he said something about RAL numbers rather than color names. Any numbers for these colors ??

If he had red wheels he'd have to go with white walls and paint the car flat black.
My vote is for cream color and black walls

Tacoma cream has been in the Ford family since they pin striped the swage lines on Model A's. Goes with most colours.

I vote for the blue color shown in the middle photo. You can do a search for RAL Colors & see the corresponding number to a color that suits your taste.
