It's a 31 5 window no deck lid and has clean ***le and rear fenders are sitting in storage. Looks all original. Just curious. I work for a utility company and I am always in people's yards finding good stuff.

He's "gonna fix it" someday and drive it. Annoying. That's all I ever hear. It's been there longer then I have been alive.

Barrett Jackson would probably value a '71 Pinto just pulled out of S.F. Bay at 3 million.

^^^ that sounds about right. Just depends on the condition of all the sheet metal and if the engine is seized or not

Having a clear ***le makes it worth a bit more. if it's all there, I'd give $3500-$4000 for it. They are becoming scarce in any kind of decent shape. Heck good bodies alone are fetching $2500 if you can find one. I'd snap it up for $2500 if I could get it for that.

Yeah he said it ran when it was parked. Yes up to the rockers. Theres a tree almost all the way around it. SAD. He asked me what I thought of an offer and I told him 2k-2500.. I wasnt sure if I was high.. He doesnt want to get rid of it but I wonder if I showed up with a hauler and 2k cash he would bite. would make a nice hot rod. He said the deck lid is missing and they converted it to a sort of pick up while on the "family ranch" I will be making my way to work that way for now on.

Yes they are, water will wick up anything and attack metal. Parked on gr*** is bad and leaves is real bad because they hold on to water for a long time.

It is quite funny how people's at***ude changes when you have several $100 bills sitting in your hand in front of them. Especially if the seller is needing money. You may try it and worse that happens is put the money back in the bank.

  21. Given the paint, it would bring mid-3s here in NY and wouldn't need a ***le to do it; or a floor. I've seen worse bring that much in one day at a swap meet.

its been there my whole life. born and raised. he'll never sell it. did you even consider how you'd get it out of that back yard? good luck

  23. Then it is worth more than you have got. No reason to post asking what it is worth if it isn't even for sale.

Isn't it a little off being a utility guy, scoping out what people have in there
    backyards ?

  25. You would do alright @ 2K if you were back here. It may have issues that don't show because of the weeds but you could still build it @ 2K and you have a real ***le to boot.

What's he supposed to do -close his eyes until he finds the utility pole? It's not like he posts the guy's address or personal info.

  27. Maybe on the side you gotta pay to get to. Only a couple hundred grand if it was pulled outta the East Bay. haha

I find that market values now days are what the buyer is willing to pay. I have seen cars/ trucks sold for crazy amounts of money. I also have seen them given away...If you are patient you can usually find a good deal on what you want. patients is the key...
