I recently aquired a 1978 Honda 750. It is in great shape but doesnt quite run well. I havent had a chance to look into it. I was wondering if anyone has ever done anything with one of these? I would like to do a bobber style, mild chopper build. Just wondering if anyone has any pics or tips on these. What frame to use? Engine mods, etc. I also have a 1980 Honda CB 125 that is mint which I can also play around with. All help is appreciated. Thanks

    LOBrow,

I spent the last year or so building a 1969 Honda CB750 from pieces and parts. It is a TOTAL blast ride and was really great to build. Here are some pictures I took a while back. It is more complete now but looks similar.

Honda CB750 are cool bikes. I love 'em! The last picture is not mine, but my inspiration for my next build!

Nice bike, makes a great chop or cafe/street bike. Quite a few websites out there, like Ian said hondachopper is a good one for ideas. Where abouts in MI are you? I just sold my 74 750 to build my garage. I will surely miss that bike:(

I missed that Unkl Ian mentioned www.hondachopper.com. That is a cool place that is dedicated to the Honda CB750 sohc. I got lots of information and parts from folks on that site to build my bike.

I always thought these old 750's were cool too. (This has been posted before), but one of my on going bike projects is a 78 750. I have a bunch of old vintage performance parts that I was able to scrounge when you could find this stuff . Drouin supercharger with a twin choke weber driven off the left side and a vertex mag driven off the right. It will not be a chopper or a cafe bike when done. But it is stretched, raked and it does have a 750 F tank, kind of a stretched out drag bike style. Here is a pic of the engine.

A sweet 750 (pics stolen from the HAMB)

If I'm not mistaken this was built by Kutty and is currently ridden by Don Haring Jr.

How the hell did I miss this ???? .... Something to feed my other sickness ...

My couldn't find any pictures of my lo' 750-4. One of the easiest mods I did was to use the much smaller CB-450 tank . Fits with little work ....

I happen to have an early 70's Amen Savior frame with the matching oil bag/battery box, kickstand and sissy bar. I also have a 12" over square tube springer from A&E and a couple wheels (need relacing). I even had a rear axle professionally made and an electrical box. I planned on building it but it has sat for the last two years. A buddy that was rebuilding my motor for it completely vanished with my motor so I got a bit depressed and lost interest. Let me know if you have an interest and I will get the parts together and figure out what I have in it as far a cash goes. I am not out to make a buck on it but would l like to get even if I can.
