Photos....Back to the Fifties

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by JohnnyFast, Jun 17, 2005.

  1. Here are some fuzzy photos I took on Friday.

  2. Some more. A couple of HAMBer's cars here.

  3. My dragster partner of 40+ years chatting with Al from Two Harbors who built the T coupe. The flamed '34 and the Merc are from Duluth and the "barn fresh" '32 is from Pine City.

  4. A few more that caught my eye.

Thanks for posting. The green chevy with the HAMB plate is nice. Those rounded hood corners are done just right.

Here's my lame pictures. Something about having a baby in tow makes the picture taking more difficult:p :D

Dude said the scale was dictated by the available tires. It's a little rough in places (unlike my old Ford:rolleyes: :), but ya gotta appreciate the effort that went into it.

Did anyone see the chopped and sectioned '49 or so Olds fastback?

Farmer....I asked the owner a question about the engine. His reply was, "Hell...I don't know. I just bought the thing !"

Was the 3W a real body or a faux painted converted street rod?

I can see from the pic that the grille is 'gl***. Plus the solid hood sides and shiney windshield frame make me think it's a phony. The disk brakes are the real give away though. :(

I have read in the previous posts it is gl***...........but .........???

It is a real good fake if so.........3 hinges on the doors, the cloth roof insert and a chrome windshield ( most gl*** cars have a glue in windshield ) and not 3 hinges on the doors. The cloth insert is easy enough to fake......

    Cool looking ride either way.....

The windshield was the only reason I asked. Probably an early body. Nobady bothers with a W/S frame any more. The old hot rodders filled the cowl vent because it leaked (I think) street rodders fill it because it interferes with the climate control unit.:D

    Hey man,

Thanks for posting a pic of my (26 y/o) brother's hotrod. That lil black 32 Pickup with the wide whites and flames there is a true driver too. Kool that you posted a pic of it out of all that was there. When he calls home tonight on his way home I will p*** on that his ride is on the HAMB. He is a young rodder that will be pretty pumped.

    Thanks.
