New to HAMB

Hello all,
Looking forward to sharing and reading all about rat rods and building rat rods. cant wait to share my first project with you all. It is a 67 Volvo on a s10 ch***is with a 4.3 and overdrive.

 

If you want to be welcomed on this site you might want to start by not calling them rat rods. Just a piece of friendly advise.

Wow! There is alot of anger here! Hotrods are hotrods, no matter the shape, make or size. Thats how I see it anyway. I still hope to learn some things from here. I have not been around as long as some of you senior folks have been, so I hope to learn from your experence and your trial and error efforts.

WOREOUT****, this is a hotrod, traditional rod site. This means well built cars and trucks, unlike the cobbled up junk most ratrods are. Saying the word ratrod on here is like calling your wife a c-nt. Ya just don't say it. Pick your words and you'll be ok on here.

 

Surf the site to see what it's about before you post. Lot's of gearhead sites out there but none like the H.A.M.B.

First off, It's not Chuck, It's William. That being said, I have been visiting this site on a regular basis before I decided to register. The tone and construction of your post leads me to think that perhaps you are below average height and have a few "short comings" that perhaps you are dealing with. There are some great online therapy sites that I am sure could help you with your issues. I have listed one below that you may find useful. Just curious, but please explain the diiierence between a rat rod and a jalopy?

 

You're pushing all the wrong ****ons. Spend a little time here before running your mouth and you will find your answers. Welcome from Michigan.

 

When a person decides to build a car that is a "jalopy" is is a car in less then perfect condition. Maybe they found it in a barn or on a field edge. It may have some rust dents or so on. But after they address the issues the car has it becomes a hot rod or custom.

When someone decides to build a "rat rod" they might start off with a semi cool project. But then they weld on a bunch of stupid stuff all over it or strip it to the point of being unsafe. They don't fix or even attempt to fix the the issues the car has.

I hope this clears up the gray area you have found between the two..

You guys are epic! I love the mix here, it is like a Thanksgiving dinner and a chili pepper desert. it is total beast! While I was at work today I found another cool website you guys would enjoy. they seem alot like us, doing the old cars on a budget. HI &welcome Got to say the volvo idea is different. Call it whot ever u want RAT ROD orHOT ROD CUSTOM When u want something different there will always be some JERK to critize your idea GO for it

 

Dont want to be boss. But when a guy Puts his hard earned bucks and sweat into a prodject we should not be so critical of it Dont be a snob . Be helpfull All rods dont cost 100.000$

So you are defending a guy that is banned now for promoting something that has nothing to do with this site? You have also done the same and I expect you will either leave or be banned, either would be fine with me. You may want to keep your mouth shut for a while and read.
