I was contacted to see if I was interesed in buying this gas pump but I don't know what they're worth to even begin a negotiating point. All I know is it is a Erie Model 771 that is complete. Whats the going rate on something like this?

im no expert.....but if i were to make an offer....considering it doesnt have a globe or any type of advertising on it...300 tops.

  3. I am not sure of that particular model but as a I see it unrestored calculating pumps that are all there and not any thing rare are a 350 dollar item. Restored 8-10 hundred. ... Youll often see them listed here with allot of BTTTs after them indicating to me they are probably overpriced.

Good to know. See if I hadn't asked I might have overpaid. I already have 3 but didn't buy a one of them. 2 were on the property when i bought it and 1 my uncle gave me. I probably p*** then. Seems most people are wanting $500 and up around here but this guy said to make an offer. Not really looking for another but thought if the price were right or it was rare or something maybe I'd consider it. I'll see if he'll name the price first then go from there.
    Thanks!

  5. The price is really up to you and how much you are willing to pay. But $300 sounds about right.

That's kind of an oddball pump that doesn't have a huge collector following, but it looks to be in very good condition and nearly complete. It's missing one of the stainless pieces around the base. The stainless is easy to find. A few years ago that pump would have brought $450 to $500. In today's market $300 to $350 is more realistic.
Phillips 66 used Erie pumps allot. That pump would look killer painted Phillips orange/red and black with an original shield shaped globe!

I had the exact same pump a couple years ago. I sold it for $600. 300-350 is more realistic price but if you find the right person you can get 400-500 for it. That pump is not real common and has a unique design.
