I'll periodically be towing cars in the 3500lb range behind a chevy c1500... but you never know, I could find myself towing a '59 imperial or a cement truck :D

There seem to be several newer technology controllers on the market, and I'm not going to recycle the OLD piece of junk I have into the new truck. Does anyone have experience with any one in particular? Any advice? Thanks in advance!

I just got one of new fancy prodigys made by tekonsha, it claims to have all the latest tecnology like inertia sensing and stuff and I used it twice yesterday. first I towed an ****** then we put a 64-65 chevy ramp truck on the trailer that barely fit and it seemed to adjust fine, its kinda wierd your brakes on you truck have to be good too because it senses how much your slowing the tow vehicle and reacts accordingly. so far I like it.

I have the same one........and it works great. My RV shop friend said it was the best one on the market for the money. Easy to hook up too, or was on my new Silverado.

Another vote for the prodigy. I pull a fifth wheel trailer with mine and have used the old stuff, you will be amazed at the difference with the new technology. I bought mine from Rjays on the web.

  6. I use the Valley Odyssey Inertia Activated Brake Controller. I think it cost about $139. Self Leveling, Digital Readout, and a 4 Load Booster up to 28%.

    Good **** right there.

    Check out www.etrailer.com , that's where I ordered mine.
