Plan to start a new project which will be a fenderless 1930 roadster with a 1952 flathead and stick shift. Still somewhat undecided on which route to go on the frame. I have a set of 32 rails but also like the look of a roadster slightly channeled over a custom frame similar to an original A frame. I know opinions are like *** ***** and everyone has one. But I'm asking for your thoughts and any pictures you might have of your own roadsters.
Check out LOUDPEDAL's roadster, one of the best looking cars around (IMHO) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128353&highlight=av8
At first I was thown off by the aprons, but seeing it in person on new years in Pasadena. this roadster is BAD ***!!!
Just my opinion, I think a highboy "A" body on deuce rails is the king of the road! But after seeing pictures of LOUDPEDAL'S car, which you would have to say is killer, shows me that there is no right or wrong, just opinions. As nice as your body is, it well come out great no matter what frame you pick. That being said I vote deuce rails. I'm just getting started on my roadster also, and it's going to sit on 32 rails.
