    I vote tinted.

  3. Tnted if you can come close to an original tint. I got tint glass for a '50s car that I have and I just love that greenish looking glass that they used back then.

Modern smoked glass doesn't do an old car justice.

The good thing is, I'm pretty sure '46, '47, and '48 are all identical for the coupe. Someone correct me if this isn't right...

  5. That's one I can't answer for sure.

I can give you two places to look for new glass, one is Hadrin Glass. If they haven't gone belly up from the recession they have them all over creation and they are a good source for windshields and back glass for classics.

The other place to look is a fella here on the HAMB goes by the name of The Glassman. I thik he is in the NW but don't hold me to that. I do know he ships.

I like tinted on some. Is the back glass flat? If so any glass shop can cut one.

You have the club coupe, it is different from the business coupe. Make sure you order the correct glass. 46-48 are the same. And if I'm not mistaken the closed cabs are the same back to 40.

Well one thing if you tint it and don't like it , you can always pull it off.

We've always done the mild green tinted glass. It is almost not noticable but has a softer look to it than non tinted. Easier on the eyes too.

This might be a resource for you. I have not had any work done here, but have heard good things and did meet the owner a while back. The website says San Dimas, but they have moved to Riverside. Might be worth a call. They specialize in hot rod/vintage stuff.

You would never notice the green tint unless you had it sitting next to a piece of clear glass, and if your other windows arent tinted, i wouldn't order new pieces tinted, but you could tint them all at once after your new glass is in.

I think tinded would look geat weather it was the green, or smoked!

Went all clear when replacing all the glass in our 50 Chev. Kinda wish now we would have went with a factory looking tint.
