Rocketeers Need help please

    My motor was recently re built ('55 324), only about an hour run time and the lifters are failing. I was told that it is possible that one of the oil plugs for the lifter valley was probably not installed. 29/32 soft plug behind the fly wheel. Does anyone have a picture of what this looks like?

    Are you sure the lifter failed?? Make sure the Valve isnt sticking in the guide. When if it did it will stick bend push rod and can casue the lifter to fail or fall apart if i read your post right

    Yes you could have a oiling problem aswell was it hot tanked

    Retainer to top of the valve guide distance vs lift as well as coil bind.
    I can send you a pic of the plug if you need

  5. Hell tony, just send him the plug and a bill. They are not that expensive. :D
