Dave, Got back this afternoon (went up Thursday morning and stayed in Loudon) and I'm starting to catch up. One of the things on my to do list was to e-mail you and tell you who the asshole was that yelled out your name from a two mile long line of bike heading to the HD dealer as you came down from Merideth in your ginchy Merc. You've got good eyes if you were able to pick me out of the line! The weather was the worst I've seen in nine years especially since all our friends in CT/MA/NJ were reporting 70 degree sunny weather. But we had lots of fun anyway. Took a trip around the lake Saturday and it rained the whole way. If I had to explain, you wouldn't understand........ There were lots more traditional bikes there this year. Looks like the anti-billet / wide tire revolution is starting to grow in the bike world too. Would you believe the guys that were real big at the start of the clone business (Titan) are doing a Bobber now. And the five bikes in the S & S display this year (that formerly had their 145 ci motors) are now based on their Shovelhead motors and some had skinny tires. Gotta love it when the world comes to you! Here's some pics for you. Only took 127 pics - probably a quarter of what I'd normally take but the weather sucked and I never took one picture Saturday! Here's your angry bag of Snakes One from the Watkins Boys A really nive FH 45 incher the motor
Caught by the too many images cops! Indian Larry Paul Cox Kieno bike New Indian Larry Legacy motor / down tube shot
Caught again! What is the limit anyway?? Baker Trans demo #1 Baker Trans demo #2 (Jesse James built?) Titan entry level Bobber $21,900 Titan Springer . Shovel ~$26K Unfortunately I didn't have my camera when it stopped raining Saturday night and the Detroit Brothers tent was open. Talk about thinking otside the box! Oh well, maybe we'll run across them in Sturgis. Later, Dennis
