I hope all you southern people appreciate being able to work on your cars and trucks all year round out of doors. I pulled the cab and front end off my truck yesterday and then today work came to a grinding halt after I woke up to this!! Show me your back yard and project this time of year so I can feel better. I need a couple of tobogbans to put the cab on so I can drag it into the shop. LOL

Whoa. I'm not going to tell you about the 4 hour cruise I did today, in my roadster, in mid 60's weather. Nope, not gonna do it.

When the hell do you guys thaw out?

Well it snows once in a while in Oklahoma where I live. But it doesn't last long.

Where are you in B.C.? Doesn't look like that here in Langley? Just east of Vancouver.

looks like you got a dusting. i was expecting 18 inches or more from your description.

  17. we've had a very mild winter in eastern NY. last year it was like that. i had an 6 foot mountain of snow in my driveway to try to keep the driveway and projects clear.

  18. ...when I went to Iowa to buy a front clip for my 48 Ford truck project, the clip was sitting in about 2 inches of ice, had to chop away the ice with a claw hammer to free it up...
We get a lot of crummy Winter weather in Illinois too, but this Winter hasn't been too bad so far.

You don't have to be that far north to have your project parts and pieces under a bed of snow.
Work on the 48 has pretty well come to a halt until it warms up a bit.

This cab will supply the back half of the new cab. When it warms up enough to work on it.

The frame isn't going to get worked on for a few days either.
